For Buick Rendezvous / Intrigue / AztekObtain all remote transmitters for this vehicle.
- Close all doors.
- Press and hold the Unlock button on door lock switch on drivers door. Hold until instructed to release in step 6.
- Insert key into the ignition cylinder but do not turn it.
- Remove key from ignition and then insert key into ignition without turning ignition cylinder and remove key.
- Insert key in ignition a third time and leave key in ignition. Do Not turn ignition.
- Release door lock switch on drivers door panel. A Chime will sound 3 times indicating that you are in programming mode.
- Press both the Lock and Unlock buttons on the remote up to 30 seconds. A chime will sound 2 times if remote has programmed successful.
- Repeat step 7 if you are programming additional remotes.
- Remove key from ignition to exit programming mode.
NOTE: If you are having trouble getting this procedure to work, we have found that some vehicles need step 3 to be done before step 2.

1994 Pontiac Grand Am Keyless Entry Remote Fob Programming Instructions
- Access the programming connector located in the LH trunk. Trim may have to be pulled back to access programming connector. ( Connector has wires leading up to it and it is not connected to anything.)
- Jump programming connector terminals.
- System should now lock and unlock doors to indicate programming mode has been entered.
- Press any button on keyless remote once.System should now lock and unlock doors, indicating successful programming of keyless remote.
- Repeat step 4 for additional remote or other existing keyless remote.
- Remove programming connector jumper wire to exit programming mode.
- Test remote(s).

2000 Pontiac Grand Am Keyless Entry Remote Fob Programming Instructions
- Close the vehicle doors.
- Turn ignition to the ON position then OFF.
- Remove key from the ignition.
- Press and hold the driver side door lock switch in the UNLOCK position until step 8.
- Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and remove the key. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder)
- Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and remove the key. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder)
- Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder) Leave key in the ignition cylinder.
- Release the door lock switch. The vehicle will sound three beeps in order to verify the Program Mode has been activated.
- Press the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons together on the keyless remote and hold until the vehicle beeps twice to verify that the keyless remote has been successfully programmed. This may take approximately 15 seconds.
- Perform the previous step (9) to program up to four keyless remotes, including any old ones.
- Remove the ignition key to exit Program Mode.

Note: Existing keyless remotes will be erased with this procedure. Existing working remotes will have to reprogrammed also.
- Locate the programming connector wire located in the RH trunk area. You may have to pull back right side trunk trim on trunk wall to locate the single black/white wire.
- The programming connector wire should have one terminal in the plastic connector on end of black/white wire. Ground the terminal in the connector to a nearby bolt or trunk latch. Leave connector wire connected to ground through out procedure.
- System will now lock and unlock doors automatically to indicate programming mode has been activated.
- Press any button on keyless remote. System will respond by locking and unlocking doors one time to indicate successful programming.
- Repeat step 4 for to program any additional keyless remotes including and existing keyless remotes. Do not remove ground wire between programming of keyless remotes.
- Disconnect programming connector wire from ground to exit programming mode.
- Test keyless remote(s).

IMPORTANT: Before entering programming mode, have in possession all of the remotes you will be using on the vehicle. Once you program the remote. all previous remotes that were programmed will be erased from memory. The other remotes will not be functional until you program the them again.
- Remove the key from the ignition.
- Close all doors.
- Remove the "MALL PGM" fuse from the fuse panel. Use the legend on the fuse panel or owner's manual to properly locate the "MALL PGM" fuse.
- Insert the key into the ignition, and turn to the ACC position.
- Turn the key to OFF and then back to ACC within 1 second.
- Open and close any vehicle door. A chime will be heard when the system enters into programming mode.
- Press and hold the remote LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for 14 seconds. IMPORTANT: After 7 seconds, a chime may be heard confirming successful synchronization. It is necessary to wait approximately 14 seconds for a second chime that will confirm successful programming.
- Repeat step 7 now for each additional remotes to be programmed including any existing remotes.

If the vehicle does not accept the remote during your standard programming procedure, please try these steps.
Instead of holding down LOCK & UNLOCK for 15 seconds. Press and hold LOCK & UNLOCK for 6 seconds, release BOTH buttons and tap ONLY the UNLOCK button.
If that doesn’t work please make sure that the vehicle’s battery has a full 12v charge.
It is always best to program remotes with a Jump Pack connected to the vehicles battery.
These vehicles only have a maximum of 4 remotes so please make sure that the vehicle is not maxed out on remotes.
Please make sure that the vehicle does not any sort of aftermarket alarm or remote start. These will need to be disabled before new remotes can be programmed.
We test all remotes prior to shipping but sometimes batteries can get drained while in transit from other packages pressing on the buttons for extended periods of time. If the remotes still do not program please have the customer contact us so that we can better assist them.

If the vehicle does not accept the remote during your standard programming procedure, please try these steps.
Instead of holding down LOCK & UNLOCK for 15 seconds. Press and hold LOCK & UNLOCK for 6 seconds, release BOTH buttons and tap ONLY the UNLOCK button.
If that doesn’t work please make sure that the vehicle’s battery has a full 12v charge.
It is always best to program remotes with a Jump Pack connected to the vehicles battery.
These vehicles only have a maximum of 4 remotes so please make sure that the vehicle is not maxed out on remotes.
Please make sure that the vehicle does not any sort of aftermarket alarm or remote start. These will need to be disabled before new remotes can be programmed.
We test all remotes prior to shipping but sometimes batteries can get drained while in transit from other packages pressing on the buttons for extended periods of time. If the remotes still do not program please have the customer contact us so that we can better assist them.

1. THIS PROCEDURE IS FOR VEHICLES WITH THE DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER. IT WILL BE A BUTTON TO THE RIGHT OF THE STEERING WHEEL WITH A VEHICLE ICON AND THE LETTER i.
- Insert key and switch the ignition ON (just shy of starting vehicle without cranking engine)
- Press vehicle information button until PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY is displayed.
- Press the set/reset button (button will have a check mark) until REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE is displayed. Vehicle is now in programming mode.
- Press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the same time on first remote for approximately 15 seconds. An acoustic signal will be heard indicating successful programming.

Have all transmitters for the vehicle at hand
- With the key out of the ignition, unlock and open drivers door (all other doors must be closed)
- Within 5 seconds,
Insert the key into the ignition (Do NOT Turn it) and Pull key out.
Insert the key into the ignition (Do NOT Turn it) and Pull key out. - Within 40 seconds, Close then open the drivers door.
- Close then open the drivers door.
- Within 40 seconds. Close then open the drivers door.
- Insert the key into the ignition (Do NOT Turn it) and Pull key out.
- Close then open the drivers door.
- Insert the key into ignition and leave it in the ignition.
- Close the drivers door. Turn the ignition to ON then back to OFF (Do NOT Start or crank engine).
- Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should lock then unlock automatically indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to step 1 if the door locks do not cycle at this point or try the alternate procedure listed below.
- Within 40 second, A. Press the lock and unlock buttons on the remote simultaneously for 1.5 seconds.
- Remove the key from the ignition.
- B. Immediately after letting go of the lock and unlock buttons, press and hold the lock button by itself.
- Within 10 seconds, the door locks should lock and then unlock once indicating successful programming.
- (If the door locks cycle twice, repeat steps A and B in step 6 as the remote was not accepted) Repeat steps A and B in step 6 for each new remote.
- Open drivers door.
Alternate programming procedure: Have all remotes for the vehicle ready. Toyota Avalon vehicles use step 10a, all other vehicles use 10b.
- Make sure all doors are closed
- Open Driver’s door
- Insert key into ignition, then remove it
- Press LOCK and UNLOCK on the vehicle door lock switch at 1 second intervals 5 times.
- Close and re-open driver’s door
- Press LOCK and UNLOCK on the vehicle door lock switch at 1 second intervals 5 times.
- Insert key into ignition switch
- Turn the ignition to ON then back to OFF (Do NOT Start or crank engine).
- Remove Key from ignition
- Door locks should cycle to confirm entry into programming mode a. AVALON – Press LOCK on remote for a minimum of 1 second
- b. ALL OTHER VEHICLES – Press and hold LOCK & UNLOCK together for 1.5 seconds; then press and hold LOCK until the locks cycle
- Locks should cycle once to confirm programming. If they cycle twice, the programming failed
- Repeat button procedure to program remaining remotes
- Close driver’s door. Test remotes.
