2010 Buick LaCrosse Keyless Entry Remote Fob Programming Instructions

If you have a remote flip key, remote portion is programmed during the Key Programming procedure.

FOR VEHICLES WITH REGULAR IGNITION (North America, except Canada):

This procedure requires that a programmed working key is available for the vehicle. This procedure adds keys only. The procedure does not erase previously learned keys. The new key to be programmed needs to be cut prior to performing this programming procedure.

Insert the original, already programmed key in the ignition and start the engine.
After the engine has started, turn the key to off and remove the key.
Insert the key to be programmed and turn it to “on” within 10 seconds of removing the original key (do not start the engine).
The security light will turn off once the key has been programmed. It may not be apparent if the security light went on due to how quickly the key is programmed. If your vehicle does not have a security light wait 10 minutes and 45 seconds to make sure the key has been programmed.
Repeat steps 1 through 5 if additional keys are to be programmed.

FOR VEHICLES WITH PUSH BUTTON IGNITION (North America, except Canada):

1. PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS IF YOU HAVE AT LEAST ONE WORKING TRANSMITTER (PROXIMITY KEY) ALREADY:

A new transmitter can be programmed to the vehicle when there is one recognized transmitter. To program, the vehicle must be-off and all of the transmitters, both currently recognized and new, must be with you. The key blade needs to be cut prior to performing this programming procedure.

Place the recognized (already programmed) transmitter in the cupholder.
Insert the new key into the lock cylinder located on the outside of the driver door and turn the key to the unlock position five times within ten seconds. The Driver information Center (DlC) should display “Ready For Remote #2,3,4 or 5.”
Place the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket. The transmitter pocket is located inside the center console storage area under the cupholder. The cupholder will need to be pulled out to access the transmitter Pocket.
Press the ignition. When the transmitter is learned, the DIC display will show that it is ready to program the next transmitter.
Remove the transmitter from the transmitter pocket and press the unlock button.

To program additional transmitters, repeat Steps 3 through 5, When all additional transmitters are programmed, press and hold the ignition for 5 seconds to exit the programming mode.

2. PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS IF YOU DON’T HAVE ANY WORKING TRANSMITTERS:

lf there are no currently recognized transmitters available, follow this procedure to program up to five transmitters. This procedure will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. The vehicle must be off and all of the transmitters you wish to program must be with you. The key blade needs to be cut prior to performing this programming procedure. It is recommended that the vehicle be connected to a power source via jumper cables during this procedure as the vehicle’s battery voltage will drop during the procedure.

Insert the new key into the key lock cylinder located on the outside of the driver door and turn the key to the unlock position five times within ten seconds. The Driver lnformation Center (DlC) displays “Remote Learn Pending, Please Wait.”
Wait for ten minutes until the DIC displays “Press Engine Start Button To Learn” and then press the ignition. The DIC displays will again show “Remote Learn Pending, Please Wait.”
Repeat Step 2 two additional times. After the third time all previously known transmitters will no longer work with the vehicle. Remaining transmitters can be relearned during the next steps. The DIC should now show “Ready For Remote #1.”
Place the new transmitter into the transmitter pocket. The transmitter pocket is located inside the center console storage area under the cupholder. The cupholder will need to be pulled out to access the transmitter pocket.
Press the ignition. When the ignition is learned, the DIC display will show that it is ready to program the next transmitter.

2006 Buick Lucerne Keyless Entry Remote Fob Programming Instructions

There are 2 possible procedures for this GM vehicle

NOTE: The instructions will not work for 2011 & Up vehicles. 2011 & Up vehicles require dealer or locksmith programming only

1. THIS PROCEDURE IS FOR VEHICLES WITH THE DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER. IT WILL BE A BUTTON TO THE RIGHT OF THE STEERING WHEEL WITH A VEHICLE ICON AND THE LETTER i.

Insert key and switch the ignition ON (just shy of starting vehicle without cranking engine)
Press vehicle information button until PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY is displayed.
Press the set/reset button (button will have a check mark) until REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE is displayed. Vehicle is now in programming mode.
Press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at the same time on first remote for approximately 15 seconds. An acoustic signal will be heard indicating successful programming.
Repeat step 4. to program additional remotes. You can have up to 8 programmed remotes for this vehicle. You must program ALL remotes including existing remotes.
To exit programming mode turn ignition OFF, remove key and test all remotes.

2. THIS PROCEDURE IS FOR VEHICLES WITHOUT THE DRIVERS INFORMATION CENTER.

Insert key into the ignition and turn to ON (Just shy of starting vehicle without cranking engine).

Locate the Data Link Port. It is located under dash drivers side. Be sure you know which pins are 8 and 4.

You can either exit the programming mode by following the instructions later in this section or program the next feature available on your vehicle.

EXIT (Exit Feature Customization Mode): This feature allows you to exit the vehicle customization programming.

If you have a remote flip key, remote portion is programmed during the Key Programming procedure.
