Framon DT-1 Frame Dimpling Tool
The Framon DT-1 Frame Dimpling Tool is designed to simplify the installation of hollow metal door frames by creating a recessed dimple during field work. It's particularly helpful when fitting new metal frames into existing masonry or stud openings. Constructed from hardened materials, the DT-1 uses an Allen screw and wrench to form a clean, precise dimple after drilling. This allows lag or toggle bolts to sit flush with the frame edge for a secure, professional finish.
Typically, each side of a frame requires three to four dimples, and the DT-1 streamlines this task for consistent results. The tool features a double-sided design, so if one side becomes worn over time, you can simply switch to the other. The kit also comes complete with two Allen screws and a long-arm Allen wrench for convenience.
